Aston Villa's Carew joins Stoke on loan
Stoke beat Carew after Villa won the surprise signing of Darren Bent to Sunderland earlier in the week.
The 31-year-old, whose career has also relay in Valencia and Lyon, has completed a medical and will be available for the Premier League Stoke clash with Fulham on Saturday.
