Correctional officer in Washington prison is found dead
A female prison officer of the guards in a prison in Washington state was strangled, and one inmate who told officers that he had planned to fly under investigation, authorities said Sunday.

Biendl Jayme, 34, was found late Saturday after workers at the Monroe Correctional Complex realized his keys and radio were missing, according to a Department of Corrections of the State of Washington. The prison staff immediately went to where she worked and found her unresponsive, said.

Biendl rescue personnel reported dead at the scene shortly before 11 pm PT, Department said.

She had been strangled, according to Chad Lewis, a department spokesman.

Also on Saturday evening, was a resident jail for missing a number of routine, the department said. He was found in the lobby of the chapel and told the officers that he planned to escape, but he changed his mind.

The prisoner, who found Lewis Byron Scherf was then taken to segregation units. The entire complex was a block officials Sunday to investigate the incident, the statement said.
