Pop star jailed over sex tapes

Indonesia Nazril ihraam singer, best known as Ariel, and his girlfriend, supermodel and actress Luna Maya faces the press in Jakarta during his trial.

Judges have declared a pop star who rocked the Indonesian country after several homemade sex tapes spend the next three and a half years in prison.

Nazril "Ariel" Peterpan Irham singer of the band, was found guilty of the country's strict anti-pornography law.

Presiding Judge Budi Prakoso Singgih told the court that the star is the celebrity videos with two friends and did nothing to prevent their widespread dissemination on the Internet.

The judge said Ariel has also shown no remorse.

In addition to imprisonment, Ariel was fined $ 000 US25 ($ 25,300).
